Interview

Interviews are required, but only offered by invitation after an initial application review. A phone interview is possible, as is meeting with traveling representatives, but a campus visit is preferred.

Letters of Recommendation

Two professional recommendations are required for all applicants. As is true of most MBA programs, having a current supervisor or manager write a letter of recommendation would be most beneficial for enhancing your application.

Essay Tips

Two essays are required as part of the MBA application. As with most business school essays, be sure to emphasize why you would be a good fit for Vanderbilt, and vice versa.

  • "You are strongly encouraged to provide an additional statement to clarify and explain any of the following: gaps of more than three months in full-time employment, poor academic performance, weak test scores, lack of recommendation from your current or most recent supervisor, academic misconduct, violations of the law, or anything else you think is important for the Admissions Committee to know about you that is not already addressed elsewhere in your application."
