First Edition Vs. Second & Third Edition Official Guide

ETS released its first edition of The Official Guide to the Revised General Test on November 16th, 2010. This initial version of the test prep study guide for the new GRE has received wide acclaim from students and tutors in preparing for the revised exam. ETS released the second edition of The Official Guide to the Revised General Test on July 17th, 2012 and the third edition in 2017.

The primary difference between the books is that the second and third editions provide students with four full-length practice tests, while the first edition provides two full-length practice tests. Regardless of which edition of the Official Guide to the Revised General Test you might be using, both editions of the study guide are published by ETS, the company that designs the GRE. Therefore, it’s safe to say that you can’t go wrong with this book in your preparation for the revised GRE.
