Students have a unique opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and experience in the MOOT CORP business plan competition. Every year, the winner of the MOOT CORP competition receives funding for their own business venture.

The Plus Program includes a series of seminars and workshops that offer practical training in areas spanning from communications to business analysis to venture capital. Students will develop efficient problem solving skills while working in teams in real life simulations.

Two letters of recommendation are required for the Texas MBA. Both of these recommendations should come from individuals who can write about the applicant's professional experiences and preparedness for graduate study. These individuals should know the applicant well enough to provide specific examples.

McCombs is careful about selecting people whom it believes have a sincere interest in the program. While all schools look for this kind of interest and enthusiasm demonstrated throughout an application, McCombs places a special emphasis on this. It is important to invest considerable time in researching the school and the MBA program to get a better idea of specific opportunities that might interest the applicant.
